Advanced Alert Concepts
There are two main alert concepts, "one for rest" and "one for work":
Rest: A rest period is 60 seconds for the keyboard and 60 seconds for the mouse.
Work: The default thresholds (minutes) for keying and mousing alerts are:
Keyboard Alerts: For example (at default levels), if you are keying for 15 minutes, without a
60 second rest, you will receive a "keyboard level one" alert. If you continue, without a
60 second rest, you'll receive a "keyboard level two" alert after another 5 minutes of keying, and so on. As explained above, this is designed to bring to your attention that it's time for a brief break from keying.
